Since 2023, we have supported Digital Notts, part of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board, in driving key initiatives under the Digital Notts Strategy 2023-28 for Digital, Data & Technology. A major focus has been raising awareness of the ‘5 Digital Priorities,’ particularly the Public-Facing Digital Services (PFDS) programme, which aims to increase citizen engagement with digital tools like the NHS App and Personal Health Record (PHR). These efforts help streamline healthcare delivery, improve patient outcomes, and reduce costs. These targeted campaigns have boosted NHS App adoption, promoted online consultations, and empowered citizens to take control of their health while easing administrative burdens and costs for providers. We continue to support the Communications, Business Change, and Executive teams to achieve their strategic goals; fostering innovation, and ensuring clear, impactful communication for digital transformation.

Animated Explainer Videos I Website Decommissioning
Building on the multi-channel awareness campaign, we developed a comprehensive marketing, communications and engagement strategy focused on increasing NHS App adoption and highlighting key features such as repeat prescriptions and online consultations. As part of this, we decommissioned the ‘NottsNHSApp’ website and created a suite of engaging materials, including animated explainer videos, case studies, event resources, and digital assets, all designed to drive awareness and inspire action.
These initiatives led to a 54% NHS App adoption rate, with 875,000 repeat prescriptions ordered through the app, saving 12,000 administrative hours and reducing carbon emissions by 5 tonnes. Additionally, there have been significant improvements in online consultations, fewer missed appointments, and greater patient engagement with digital letters and personal health records.
